In 2003, we moved to Calgary for my husband’s job. At the time, I had been teaching in Vancouver and planned to continue my career in education. When I discovered they weren’t hiring, my husband said, “Why don’t you become a realtor?” I honestly had no idea what that really looked like — but I jumped in.
Twenty years later, I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Real estate is so much more than buying and selling property. It’s about guiding people through big life moments — first homes, growing families, downsizing after 30 years, fresh starts, tough transitions, and exciting new chapters. Every move has a story, and I never take lightly the trust my clients place in me.
Because of my teaching background, education is at the heart of how I work. I believe buying or selling your home should feel informed and strategic — not overwhelming. I walk my clients through every step, explain the market, prepare them for what’s coming next, and make sure there are no surprises. My goal is always to make the process feel clear, manageable, and maybe even a little exciting.
I have a special place in my heart for first-time home buyers. They often need guidance, reassurance, and someone who will patiently answer every question — sometimes more than once. But I also know that someone selling the home they’ve lived in for decades needs just as much care and understanding. No matter the price point or stage of life, everyone gets the same level of service, attention, and advocacy.
After 20 years in this business, I still love what I do. Helping people make confident, informed decisions about their home never gets old.
